Banner’s support for job creation and skills raising in our Industry over 2015

As a business of over 150 years’ history, Banner Chemicals views itself as a long term player in the industry. We are determined to help combat the UK skills shortage in Science and STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.)

In 2015 we helped the following:

85 School pupils through ‘chemistry in action’ day at the Catalyst Museum, delivered by our Dispersions Development Manager and Specialty Chemicals expert.

8 -10 Chemical Engineering apprentices from the North East, through workplace training provision (to be completed in 2016). These were apprentices who would otherwise have been unable to complete their apprenticeships, due to a work experience shortage. This reflects our passion to help apprentices gain industry experience.

3 Graduates of STEM subjects were recruited in 2015 across the Banner Group, as part of our mission to create more opportunities in industry for Graduates.

We look forward to creating more opportunities for entrants into our industry in 2016, along with our sister companies across 2M.
