Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals Banner Chemicals Group

Dear Customer

The Banner Chemicals Group distributes a wide range of products for major international hydrocarbon, oxygenated, specialty chemicals manufacturing companies and acts as a key source of information throughout the supply chain.

The Group is focused on delivering the principles of Responsible Care throughout the supply chain and accepts it has a key role to play in the transmission of information between manufacturers, consumers and regulatory bodies. We have been following the progress of REACH and actively involving ourselves with industry groups and regulators to try and obtain a workable Directive in accordance with the principles of sustainable development.

We are currently compiling data on the end use of the products we sell with the intention of advising our Principals of the requirement to register their product for a specific end use.

It is currently too early to confirm that any particular product will definitely be registered under REACH for a specific purpose. However, we would like to assure our customers that we will maintain dialogue with manufacturers, regulators and our customers to see that appropriate action is taken at the earliest possible time in respect of the requirement to Register, Evaluate and Authorise under the REACH Directive, when it is fully adopted.

Please do not hesitate to contact your Account Manager in respect of any specific product that you purchase from Banner and we will keep you notified of its status in respect of the REACH Directive.
